Ramgarh, Jan 11: A tailoring program was launched by the JSP Foundation on Tuesday to empower women through skill development and self-employment. The program was jointly inaugurated by Hema Kumari, Mukhiya of Labga Panchayat and Ravi Niwash, CSR Head of JSP.
The JSP Foundation has set up temporary centres in Gegda and Matkama villages to conduct tailoring training programmes. Through the training program, 80 women and girls can enrol for three months of the tailoring training program. The centres were started to provide skill development and employment opportunities for the women through quality training and infrastructural support for the generation of sustainable livelihood options for them.
Along with this, women can also take over the sewing work. The JSP Foundation has assisted more than 2000 women and young girls through its skill development and livelihood programs such as tailoring, Kantha, zardozi, lacquer bangles, paper bags, artificial jewellery and other training programs.
Anurag Singh, Rashmita Das, Shashi Keshari, Pradeep Prajapati, Trainers Kriti Kumari, Sabita Devi, CSR along with the trainees Rakhi Devi, Anju Oraon, Sabita Minj and others attended the program.
