New Delhi, Jan 15: Ravindra Jadeja will play in the current Ranji Trophy before representing India in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, according to the reports.

According to reports on ESPNcricinfo, the all-rounder will participate in Saurashtra’s final game against Tamil Nadu in the first-class championship, which begins on January 24 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Since India’s Asia Cup match against Hong Kong in August 2022 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Jadeja has not participated in any form of cricket. Following his withdrawal from the competition, he underwent right knee surgery. At the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, Jadeja is presently through his recovery process.

The Indian team for the first two Test matches against Australia was announced on Friday by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Jadeja was chosen for the team, although his inclusion was contingent upon his physical fitness. According to the information obtained, Jadeja will only be permitted to participate in the Test matches if the NCA deems him healthy enough.
