Hazaribag, Jan 15: The state’s Anti Terror Squad (ATS) team has nabbed a teacher with 150 live bullets from Koderma on a tip-off. The ATS claimed that he was the man supplying arms to different Naxal outfits in the state. The man identified as Ravi Prajapati of Barhi in Hazaribag is a teacher in the area who runs a coaching institute near Hanuman Mandir in Barhi.

Police officials have said that ATS got a tip-off about a supplier who received a consignment of bullets from Nalanda in Bihar and was coming to Jharkhand via Koderma. The ATS alerted Koderma police and a trap was laid. Later, a bus was stopped and checked near the Baghitand checkpost in Koderma, close to the Bihar border. Here, Ravi was found and arrested, while the bullets were recovered.

During interrogation, Ravi admitted to supplying bullets to Maoists. Later, a team also searched his house in Barhidih village in Barhi.

Barhi police station officer-in-charge inspector Lalit Kumar said that Ravi was arrested earlier in a similar case as well.
