New Delhi, Jan 19: Low-cost carrier Scoot issued an apology today after some passengers missed their flight from Amritsar to Singapore.
On Wednesday at 7:55 p.m. from Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar, 32 passengers were unable to board the flight to Singapore.
According to a Scoot spokeswoman, bad weather that day affected departure times, therefore the flight was rescheduled to leave Amritsar at 3:45 pm instead of the intended departure time.
“Scoot sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused. We are currently working to provide affected customers with the necessary assistance,” said the airliner.
As many as 263 passengers, who boarded the flight, reported at the airport well in time.
According to the director of Amritsar airport VK Seth, “All booking agents were informed well in time and they relayed the information to their clients, Whereas only one agent who didn’t inform their passengers on time led to this cause.”
According to the spokesman, depending on the contact information given, the impacted passengers were informed by email and/or SMS in advance of the departure time adjustment.
