Ranchi, Jan.20: The BJP is yet to give any indication regarding probable candidates for the Ramgarh by-election scheduled on February 27.

This became clear after BJP state president and Rajya Sabha Deepak Prakash during a press conference expressed his inability to do so saying his ‘party works in a democratic way’ and a ‘final decision is taken by central leadership.’

Asked about the possibility of giving the seat to its allied partner Ajsu, Prakash gave a strategic reply saying ‘Ajsu has remained a natural ally of the BJP before the creation of Jharkhand. We have struggled together for the formation of the state. We never sold our agitation,” Prakash said.

Prakash, however, made it clear that the party will contest the election and compel the ruling party to bite dust.

Earlier, Prakash shared information regarding the party’s two-day state executive meeting scheduled from January 23 at Deoghar.

“In the meeting, the state executive committee will take the decisions matching the resolutions taken in the recently held national executive meeting. There will be seven sessions in the meeting in which political resolutions will be taken,” he said.

Prakash, on the occasion, counted the achievements of his party’s government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The achievements, he counted, included opportunity to India to preside over G-20 conference, UN Security Council and Shanghai Sahyog Sangathan’ and praise by World Bank and IMF for giving a good economy despite corona pandemic besides others.
