Jamshedpur, Jan 23: Jharkhand health minister Banna Gupta held a meeting with the officials of the Road Construction Department (RCD) at the local Circuit House on Monday afternoon during which the issue related to the construction of the proposed flyover connecting Mango to Bhuiyadih was prominently discussed. He added that the Jugsalai ROB will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Hemant Soren during the latter’s visit here sometime shortly.
At the meeting which was also attended by senior officials from the district administration and officials from the Jamshedpur as well as Mango municipal bodies, it was decided that a survey by the RCD has to be started concerning the flyover project within the next fortnight.

“It should be taken care of that the ambitious flyover project is not carried out at the cost of damaging residential buildings. Though the flyover is essential for easing the traffic congestion at Mango and certain parts of the steel city, an attempt should be made to set up it by minimum damage to the existing houses that may come in the way of putting up pillars,” said the minister while talking to the newsmen.
At the meeting, a matter related to the proposed cable-stayed bridge at the eastern fringed Govindpur area was also discussed and discussed work for the much-awaited bridge project may start soon. Also discussed in the meeting was the now-completed Jugsalai railway overbridge (ROB) near the Jugsalai level crossing.
