Ranchi, Jan 25: Menon Ekka, wife of former state minister Enos Ekka, surrendered before CBI court in Jharkhand capital today. She took the step after the Jharkhand High Court dismissed Ekka’s petition challenging two conviction and sentence orders.
The CBI court convicted and sentenced her in a case of amassing disproportionate assets and the PMLA court in a case of money laundering.
After she surrendered, the court forwarded her to Birsa Munda Central Jail in 14-day judicial custody. The court had found her involvement in money laundering of more than Rs 20 crore.
