Met statistics revealed that maximum temperature was observed below normal over most parts during the first few days of the week whereas above normal trend was seen later in the week over the state.

Overall, the minimum temperature was observed below normal to normal over most parts
during the first few days of the week whereas above normal trend was seen later in the week over the state.

The Western Disturbance is now seen as a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level.

“Under the influence of the present synoptic features, dynamical scenario and model guidance dry weather is expected to prevail over the state in the next one week,” said Abhishek Anand, head of Ranchi Met Centre.

According to Met statistics minimum temperature hovered between 12 and 15 degree Celsius in most parts of the state during the past 24 hours.
