Hazaribag, Jan 27: On the occasion of Republic Day, the Adani Foundation handed nutrition kits for the fourth phase to 60 TB patients. Previously, they were given three-stage feeding kits.
Notably, the final two waves of nutrition kits will be distributed over the next two months. The kits, issued as part of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Nikshay Poshan Yojana,’ comprised dietary products such as Horlicks, Chyawanprash, Dal, Chana, Jaggery, Moong, and Mustard Oil.
Moreover, all of these patients are financially challenged and have been adopted by the Adani Foundation.
Addressing the programme organised at the Community Health Center in Barkagaon, Medical Officer-in-Charge Dr BN Prasad said, “This is a great effort by the Adani Foundation. Only such efforts will help in the efforts to reduce the number of TB patients. TB is not an incurable disease. If it is treated on time, it can be gotten rid of forever.”
Furthermore, they also distributed sports kits among 18 youths of Gondalpura and Gali villages on Thursday. With the aim of promoting sports at the village level, the kits distributed among the youth included shocker boots, leg guards, knee caps, jerseys, jackets, six footballs and sports bags. These young athletes included football and volleyball players.
