VISHVENDU JAIPURIAR

Hazaribag, Feb 7: BJP MLA from Sadar Manish Jaiswal today reached Nayitand village in Kariayatpur of Barhi subdivision to pay his tribute to Rupesh Pandey on his first death anniversary.

Notably, Rupesh was murdered last year triggering communal tension followed by violence making the police shut down the internet in the district for a few days to restore normalcy.

Jaiswal said he is with Rupesh’s family and will stand with them in future also. He met Rupesh’s parents and told them that he had raised his voice in the assembly to all other forums to ensure justice for the young boy who was murdered last year.

Moreover, the case was handed over to the CBI which is now investigating this murder mystery. He assured them of justice in this case and said he is with them always.

Jaiswal offered his tribute to Rupesh in presence of villagers who gathered there in large numbers.

Rupesh was 17 years old and his murder attracted nationwide attention making many Hindu leaders including Kapil Mishra visit Hazaribag. However, police stopped them and did not allow them to enter the district as a precautionary measure.
