Ramgarh: AJSU leader Manoj Munda shot dead by criminals

Ramgarh, Feb 16: Weeks before the Ramgarh by-elections, All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) leader Manoj Munda (35) was shot dead by criminals on Wednesday evening in Jhanjitoli, a remote rural area of Bhadaninagar under Ramgarh district.

As per the information, Manoj Munda had gone to watch a cock fight. Meanwhile, three people caught hold of him and took him away from the Haat and fired three bullets into his head.

The villagers immediately took him to RIMS, where he was declared dead. After receiving the information, Patratu SDPO Dr Virendra Chaudhary, Circle Inspector Rohit Mahto, Bhadaninagar OP in-charge Durgashankar Mandal, Basal in-charge Amar Shukla, Patratu in-charge Gautam Kumar and Barkakana in-charge Shashi Prakash along with armed forces personnel reached the spot and launched a raid campaign in search of the attackers in the nearby villages and tolls.

Villagers said Manoj Munda was sitting with his friends when three people came and forcibly took him away. After the gunshots, they reached the place of the shooting and saw Manoj lying on the ground and bleeding.
