New Delhi, Feb 19: A 3.8-magnitude earthquake hit Arunachal Pradesh’s western region on Sunday afternoon, according to PTI. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake was logged around 12:12 p.m.
At a depth of 10 km, the earthquake’s epicentre was located in West Kameng, close to the Bhutanese border.
Both the eastern portion of Bhutan and central-north Assam experienced tremors. There were no early reports of any injuries or property damage.
Due to its location in a strong seismic zone, the northeastern region experiences earthquakes frequently.
