Ramgarh, Feb 20: An FIR has been lodged on Sunday against a young man, Ramsurat Singh, at Rajrappa police station for allegedly raping his neighbour. As per the information, Ramsurat Singh forcibly raped a 25-year-old married woman of the Vaishali district for three days by taking advantage of her compulsion.

In her complaint, the woman said that she was married eight years ago. Her husband works as a driver. Due to her poor condition, she wanted to start her own business. So she contacted Ramsurat Singh, who works in machine making shop. He said he can order a Kurkure-making machine from Ranchi. The victim said that she had two lakh 70 thousand rupees, some of which she borrowed from the self-help group.

On February 14, Ramsurat took her on a bus from Samastipur to Ranchi. She had taken 55 thousand with her. After reaching Ranchi, he kept her in a hotel and said that it would take a few days. Along with this, he raped her for three days and also threatened to kill her if she tells anyone about it.

Later on February 17, he left Ranchi in an auto and took her to Ormanjhi. At 9 o’clock in the night, he took the auto into the forest and snatched her jewellery, tied her hands and feet and pushed her off the mountain with the intention of killing her. By God’s grace, she fell into a pit and went to a nearby village.

The villagers took her to the Rajarappa police station. Rambriksh Prasad, sub-inspector, Rajrappa police station said that on the basis of a typed application given by the woman, a case was registered in Rajrappa and the woman has been sent to Ramgarh for a medical examination. Meanwhile, the police have started a campaign to arrest the accused.
