On the second day of the interview, co-accused Deepak Ramdani and jail employee DS Meena will also be questioned simultaneously, according to sources. Deepak Ramdani’s custody has also been given a five-day extension by the court.
In a recent development, Chandrasekhar’s jail cell had luxuries valued at thousands of rupees. During a search of his cell, the guards found two pairs of pants for Rs 8,000 and a pair of Gucci shoes worth Rs 1.5 lakh.
The conman, who was apparently by himself in his cell throughout the raid, can be seen sobbing in the viral CCTV footage of the incident. The jail administration has committed to look into and punish whoever released the Surveillance footage.
The Enforcement Directorate detained Chandrasekhar, also known as Balaji and Shekhar Reddy, on February 16 in connection with a money laundering investigation involving the con game played on the wife of former Religare promoter Malvinder Singh. The con artist allegedly pretended to be secretaries for Union home and law. Chandrasekhar was detained in connection with a third case of money laundering.
