“The victim Amanda (28) was rushed to Tata Main Hospital where he is undergoing treatment for the grievous injury he sustained in the shoulder. The police had registered a case against Abdulla and his two associates on the statement made by Amandeep,” said Vijay Shankar while addressing a press conference in the Morning afternoon.

The City SP pointed out till two years back Abdulla used to be a friend of Amandeep, but due to some difference of opinion between the two, they had developed bad blood against each other.

“On Saturday night when Abdulla was returning home along with a friend on a scooter, he had intercepted Amandeep after overtaking his bike in the marketplace. Soon after the two had started fighting which had later aggravated after supporters of both of them had turned up at the scene, ” said the senior police officer, adding that Abdulla had suddenly started firing at Amandeep having taken a pistol from one of his friends identified as Aman Safedi.
