Ranchi, Feb 27: A three-day international conference on ‘automation and information technology in steel, mining and manufacturing industries’ started today at SAIL Satellite Community Hall in Dhurwa.
In the programme organized by the Ranchi chapter of Computer Science of India (CSI), participants deliberated on green electricity, and the reduction of carbon footprint besides other allied subjects in depth and let the participants know how information technology has started helping get desired products without any problem.
In his keynote address, Dr Shirinivas Chaganti of Kamma Gear Flywheel Pvt. Ltd. discussed their mass mechanical application and generating 100% green electricity while Dr Maninder Singh of Lotus Wireless talked about Sampurna Bhartiya solutions involving huge challenges and their successes at the end-to-end customized solutions.
The presentation by Danielli showcased their technological prowess to reduce carbon footprint and implementation of digitization for complete process control.
Tata Steel’s presentation was focused on automation to save energy and the unification of control systems. The talk of Malvern Panalytical revolved around their most modern equipment for various analyses, information and security in industrial operations.
The chairman of the Ranchi chapter of CSI Anup Prasad inaugurated the conference. Those present on the occasion included CEOs, Directors, Executive Directors, and Senior Executives associated with different companies working in the field discussed during the conference.
