Jamshedpur, Mar 1: Acting on a tip-off, police seized huge quantities of intoxicating substances by raiding a bus at the Sitaramdera bus terminal on Wednesday.

The bus belonging to Singh Travels was found loaded with 25 sacks of marijuana pills.

The bus had come from Patna and as soon as the vehicle reached the bus terminal, the police swooped over it, resulting in the recovery of the intoxicating consignment.

Deputy superintendent of police, Birendra Ram said though they succeeded to unearth a huge consignment of marijuana pills, no one turned up to claim it.

“It appears that the one who had brought the intoxicating stuff in such a quantity was very much in the bus, but apprehending legal action, preferred to remain silent,” said the DSP while talking to lagatar24.com.

The senior police officer said that they are probing into the circumstances under which the management of the Singh Travels agreed to book the consignment of marijuana pills from Patna to Jamshedpur.
