SUBHASH MISHRA
Dhanbad, March 2: Brushing aside all dispute, INTUC national president G Sanjeeva Reddy has recognised the Indian National Mines Working Federation (INMWF) headed by MLA Jayamangal Singh alias Anup Singh to represent INTUC in the coal industry including Coal India Limited (CIL).
In this regard, Reddy has written a letter to the CIL chairman (February 28) that only INMWF headed by Anup Singh is a recognised federation of INTUC.
The confusion had prevailed after INMWF president Anup Singh and Rashtriya colliery Mazdoor Sangh ( Tiwari group) president Lalan Choubey ( INTUC national secretary) sent a separate list of names to CIL management for JBCCI 11th NCWA.
CIL had in 2017 held up participation of INTUC in JBCCI 10th NCWA and in 2021 JBCCI 11th NCWA due to factional feud and pending cases in courts.
The Indian National Mines Workers Federation challenged the order of CIL in the Kolkata High Court. On February 10, Kolkata High Court directed the CIL management to allow participation to INTUC representatives at the JBCCI meeting for the 11th NCWA.
However, on February 24, the issue became complicated again after MLA Anup Singh (INMWF) and Lalan Choubey (RCMS) sent separate lists of names claiming the real affiliated organisation of INTUC.
In four members list of Lalan Choubey, the name of INTUC national president G Sanjeeva Reddy was also figured. But on Tuesday, Sanjeeva Reddy shot off a letter to Coal India Limited chairman Pramod Agrawal that INMWF is the only recognised unit of INTUC to represent.
With this letter from Sanjeeva Reddy, the path of INTUC has been cleared to participate in JBCCI 11th NCW meeting.
