Hazaribag, March 10: In a case related to last night’s firing in the Mukundgunj area killing one and injuring one, police arrested two criminals involved in this case and two are still at large. Even a murder weapon which is a country-made pistol was also recovered.
As per the eyewitnesses, four criminals on a bike came there at 7 PM yesterday and opened fire killing one Prince Pandey on the spot.
Even one Dileep Rana sustained bullet injuries on his knee. Local people caught Deepak Saw who fired six rounds killing Deepak and injuring Dileep. Even his associate Saw was also chased and caught.
Both were beaten and handed over to the police. Even villagers also snatched the country-made pistol from Deepak which was also given to the Muffasil police team.
The police officials said Killer Deepak Saw’s condition is not good after being beaten by local people. He was referred to Ranchi and so we will wait for his statement till he gains consciousness, added they.
As the dead body was brought to Sheikh Bhikhari medical college, Sadar MLA of BJP Manish Jaiswal and Barkagaon MLA of congress, Amba Prasad reached there. Both termed this as a failure of law and order. Jaiswal assured all help to the family.
Seeing the situation, the district administration gave permission to perform a postmortem of the dead body at the night. After the postmortem, it was handed over to relatives.
Prince was a native of Garhwa and was living here in Mukundgunj since his childhood. He completed his studies here and was presently working in a company as a driver.
His maternal uncle Mithilesh Pandey said 20-year-old Prince was the eldest of the three siblings in the family. He was supporting his family financially and with his death, the family came into trouble. Prince came here to celebrate Holi from Chhatisgarh where he was working.
