Dhanbad, Mar 10: Jharkhand players will participate in the Yonex-Sunrise 45th Indian Master (veteran) National Badminton Championship 2022-23 to be held at Goa from March 19 to 26.
A senior official of the Jharkhand Badminton Association (JBA) on Friday said that nine events were for different age groups including those above 35 years, 40+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+ and 75 men’s and women’s would be played in seven days championship,
The JBA official said as per the championship programme released by the Badminton Association of India (BAI), general secretary Sanjay Mishra’s qualifying round for the age group of 35+, 40+, 45+ and 50+ would be played on the first day of the championship March 19 and the main draw would start next day.
A player can participate only in three events of championship singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
Jharkhand men’s and women’s players have been selected for the national championship on basis of their performance in the state veteran championship held at Gumla last week.
