Hazaribag, Mar 10: In a case related to a clash between two groups resulting in injuries to a dozen including few policemen, Barhi subdivisional police officer Nazir Akhtar on Friday confirmed arresting seven besides recovering traditional weapons, 2 country made pistols, bombs and other explosives. He said a total of three FIRs have been lodged in this connection against 55 named and 150 unnamed.
Notably, a clash had taken place between two groups in the Lati village of Padma injuring villagers as well as five policemen. An SUV of police and cars of villagers had also been damaged. A team led by Akhtar had brought the situation under control.
Akhtar said that after troublemakers escaped, they launched a search operation in the area recovering pistols, bombs, swords to other traditional weapons from there. He said seven have been arrested so far including Vicky Ojha, Dhruv Ojha, Anil Pandey, Shiv Kumar Pandey, Gautam Ojha, Pappu Ojha and Bigun Ojha. He said that the police are looking for others through raids.
According to Akhtar, three FIRs lodged included 104/23 under sections 147/ 148/ 149/ 341/ 323/ 324/ 326/ 427/ 504/ 506 IPC. Second FIR number 105/23 is lodged under sections 25(1-B)a/ 26/ 35 under the explosives act. Meanwhile, the third FIR 106/23 is lodged under sections 147/ 148/ 149/ 353/ 341/ 323/ 307/ 332/ 333/ 337/ 338/ 427/ 188/ 504/ 506 IPC.
