Dhanbad: Lakhi Soren declared district president for JMM

Dhanbad, Mar 13: Lakhi Soren has been declared the new president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Dhanbad District Committee.

JMM state central committee secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey on Monday announced the names of 12 members in the district committee including four vice-presidents one secretary, two organising secretaries, one treasure and four joint secretaries.

JMM Dhanbad district committee had been operating under a coordination committee since January after a factional feud rocked the organisation. In the new committee, the state body has not given any post to outgoing president Ramesh Tudi and secretary Pawan Mahto.

The Central Committee secretary has also directed newly elected president Lakhi Soren to expand the committee through the appointment of other members and inform the state body duly.

New Committee members include President Lakhi Soren, vice-presidents Kalicharan Mahto, Lakhan Pramanik, Mukesh Singh, Ajay Rawani, Secretary Mannu Alam, organising secretary Madan Mahto, Bodi Lal Hasda, Treasurer Kishore Murmu, Joint Secretaries Ejaj Ahmed Mallick, Tapan Tiwari, Fulchand Kisku, Manoj Mahto, and social media in-charge Ashish Kumar Paswan.
