Ranchi, March 16: The BJP continued to create ruckus on the 10th day of the budget session of the Jharkhand assembly on the issue of recruitment policy and 1932 Khaityan-based identity of locals.
The BJP legislators appeared offensive inside and outside the house. They raised slogans ‘60-40 Nai Chaltau’ and ‘1932 ki Bhelo’ targeting the state government for its failure in giving a proper policy for recruitment of locals in government jobs.
The BJP MLAs were wearing saffron T-shirts carrying slogan ’60: 40 Nai Chalto” and “1932 ki Bhelo”.
The proceedings of the house started at 11.09am and at 11.10 the BJP MLAs reached the well and started raising slogans against the government. Amidst the uproar, the speaker took some short notice questions. When he realized that it was difficult to bring the house in order, he adjourned the assembly till 12noon at 11.25am.
Before the house was adjourned CPI(ML) legislator Vinod Singh attacked minority welfare minister Hafizul Hassan for giving a vague reply to his question related to constitution of bodies for welfare of minorities. Congress legislator Pradeep Yadav cornered water resource minister Mithilesh Thakur for having no roadmap for completion of the old mega irrigation project. Dipika Pandey expressed his concern over poor planning for deep-hole boring for farmers.
BJP chief whip Biranchi Narayan said that the party will continue to protest till Chief Minister Hemant Soren gives his reply on the job policy.
