Ramgarh, April 3: A case of gang-rape with a minor girl came to light in Janiyamara forest under the Rajrappa police station area of ??the district on Sunday.
According to information, a minor girl from Khokha Vyang under Gola police station was going to Chhinnamastika temple with her two friends. On the way, near the Janiyamara forest, two people stopped the motorcycle and thrashed the two friends of the girl and chased them away.
While dragging the girl to the forest, both the accused raped her in turn. After that both of them threatened that if she told anyone, they will kill her. After which the girl somehow ran away and reached the police station where she narrated the story to the police.
The police took quick action and arrested one of the accused, Rahim Ansari, a resident of Bhuchungdih, from the forest and brought him to the police station. The girl was sent to Sadar Hospital Ramgarh for medical examination.
Ramgarh SDPO Kishore Rajak said that the case of rape of the girl has come to the fore. The relatives of the victims have given an application. The police are taking action on the complaint.
“One person (Rahim Ansari, 45 years) has been arrested in the rape case, while the search is on for the other accused, Birbal Manjhi. Strict action will be taken against all those who are accused in the whole case. It is a priority to provide justice to the girl in any situation,” he added.
