Dry weather forecast over Jharkhand in next 72 hours, mercury to rise

Jamshedpur, April 5:  IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued a forecast of dry weather over Jharkhand in next 72 hours with rise in maximum temperature by 2- 3 degree Celsius.

Weathermen said no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand and that weather condition would be dry with rising trend in maximum temperature.

The north-south trough/wind discontinuity from Vidarbha to south Tamil Nadu now runs from Jharkhand to south interior Tamil Nadu across interior Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.

Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours. The highest maximum

temperature 36.5°C was recorded at Daltonganj while the lowest minimum temperature of 16.3 °C was recorded at Simdega.

Met department officials ruled out the possibility of thunderstorm and hail activity over the state during the next three days.
