Jamshedpur, April 6: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a dry weather forecast with a slight rise in maximum reading on Thursday.
Weathermen said no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand.
” We don’t see the possibility of any Norwester activity in the next 48- hours. Weather condition would be mainly clear and dry with the rising trend in maximum temperature,” said a duty officer at the Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
The Western Disturbance as a trough in mid and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level was today running roughly along Long. 64°E to the north of Lat. 30°N.
Statistics of the last 24 hours suggested light rain with thunderstorm activity at isolated places over the state.
The highest rainfall recorded was 4.2 mm at Ormanjhi in Ranchi. The highest maximum temperature of 38.5°C was recorded at Daltonganj while the lowest minimum temperature of 19.1°C was recorded at Simdega. Partly cloudy sky towards the afternoon or evening and dry weather is most likely in expected on Friday and Saturday too.
