Mercury to touch 40 degree Celsius in isolated places across Jharkhand

Jamshedpur, April 12: Several parts of the state including Jamshedpur, Daltonganj and Bokaro is likely to experience extreme heat with day’s reading reaching an oppressive 40 degree Celsius in another 48-hours or so.

Weathermen said that dry winds blowing from northern parts of the country is resulting in a rise in maximum temperature.

The maximum reading has already touched 39 degrees in several places including Jamshedpur, Daltonganj and Deoghar in the last 24- hours.

Weathermen said no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand.

The forecast suggests mainly clear sky and dry weather in Jharkhand with gradual rise in maximum temperature by 4-5 °C during next three days.

Tomorrow’s forecast suggests mainly clear sky over eastern parts while partly cloudy sky over rest parts.

Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 – hours. The highest maximum temperature of 39.0°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 18.3°C was recorded at Simdega.
