Dhanbad, April 12: All India Congress Committee general secretary-cum-Jharkhand in-charge Avinash Pande said that the party’s high command would review and take a final decision on the four ministers and withdrawal of suspension against three MLAs.
Pande while talking with media persons here on Wednesday afternoon said that the performance of all the four ministers of the party in the Jharkhand government is satisfactory. They are executing and fulfilling all the promises the party had made to people in the election, he added.
“However, the party high command reviews the performance of the party state president, office bearers, ministers and MLAs from time to time. The party high command would review and take a decision when the time comes,” he said in a query.
Banna Gupta, Badal Patralekh, Alamgir Alam and Rameshwar Oraon are ministers from the Congress quota in the Jharkhand government.
Pande, when asked about the withdrawal of suspension against three MLAs of the party, Dr Irfan Ansari ( Jamtara), Rajesh Kachhap ( Khijri) and Bixal Kongari ( Kolebera), replied that all the three MLAs have admitted their mistake and party’s national president would take a decision on their fate.
The Congress suspended the three MLAs after they were arrested by the Kolkata police with cash of Rs 49 lakh on July 31, 2022. They were slapped with charges of toppling the state government.
Pande, who arrived here to participate in ‘Jay Bharat Satyagraha’ convened by the district Congress Committee in protest against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha, said that the party honours the judicial system of the country but feels it was a conspiracy and decision was taken on wrong facts. Party lawyers are preparing to fight it.” he said.
He also criticised the BJP’s secretariat Gherao on Tuesday and said that they are trying to divert the development of the state.
