Ranchi, April 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration, 2022 to Jharkhand’s Gumla Deputy Commissioner Sushant Gaurav on April 21.
Gumla has been selected for this award in implementing holistic development through aspirational district programme-overall progress with special focus on saturation approach.
Secretary of ministry of personnel, public grievance and pension, department of administrative reforms and public grievances V Srinivas invited him to receive the award on April 21 i.e. Civil Services Day.
DC Gaurav shared the achievement through an official tweet.
“Historical!! Jharkhand received the title of Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration for the first time in the history of the state. Gumla district got the privilege of winning the PM Award. The Credit goes to all the residents of the district. Congratulations again everyone!!,” his tweet reads.
Contacted DC Gaurav to know what was done in the district which ensured the award, he counted a few. The works, he mentioned, included introduction of mobile medical vehicles, successful implementation of anaemia control programme, identification of 21 types of disabilities and support programme, introduction of IT in education system, installation of CCTV, promotion of bamboo work, construction of indoor and outdoor stadiums for promotion of sports, welfare programme focussing primitive tribe groups and Tana Bhagats besides others.
