BIT Sindri: Two-day technocrats’ debate competition begins

Dhanbad, April 21: Two-day Debate and Conflict of Words competition for budding technocrats especially for the first and second year began at BIT Sindri.

The competitions are being organized by the BIT Cultural Society at Rajendra Prasad Conference Hall of the institution. The competitions are being organized in collaboration with the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)

Prof in charge of BIT Cultural Club Prof Ajay Oraon said that the two-day debate competition is being organized for the 2nd-year students and the Conflict of Words event for 1st-year students of the institute.

Hundreds of boy and girl engineering students are participating in both competitions which have become a centre of attraction for the students of different batches of the institution. The result would be declared in the evening today.

A panel of judges (final year students) has been constituted to assess the performance of participants and declare the result.

The BIT Cultural Club has also constituted 18 members organizing committee comprising Birendra Marandi, Solomon  Besra,  Anjani Hembram, Anisha Murmu,  Shiva Munda, Shashikant Oraon, Kumari Mahigra,   Deepika Mardi, Binod Murmu, Kundan Oraon, Philip  Oraon, Mabel, Shivram Majhi, Sunil Topno, Pranab Hembram, Sachin Hembram, Fuleshwar Kisku and Royal Orao for conducting the competition.
