BIT Sindri:  Budding techies visit Jharkhand villages to study culture, film

Dhanbad, April 22: The technocrats of BIT Sindri shared their field experience during the two-day lecture presentation programme held at Rajendra Prasad Conference Hall, organized by BIT Cultural Society.
The teams of different batches were given four topics-Gaon Manthan, Startup Chintan, Yuva Ek Padao and Disha and Local Film Industries based on social, cultural, educational and economic issue.
The groups of engineering students visited research places (villages and city) across Jharkhand, interacted with  concerned people and collected the  data. In ‘Lecture Presentation’ they shared their experience gained in the field.
A group of 15 students of final year and 3rd year comprising Anjani Hembram, Ashish Tirkey, Royal Kachhap, Nitesh Oraon, Abhay Toppo, Shiv Charan Oraon, Shashank Laguri, DK Marandi, Priya  Kumari, Murti Tudu, Fulkumari Hansda Nayan Gari, Vikram Kisku, Rishi Raunak Pahan, Dasmat Hansda and Kuldeep Hembram visited Rangamati village under  Baliapur block and  conducted thorough  study of cultural life of villagers, problems and  expectation. They also interacted with villagers over the topic.
Another team of 13 participants visited Dumka and Jamshedpur for a study on the film industry and got detail about local films in Santhali, Nagpuri, and Khorta languages. They also interacted with producers, directors, artists on various topics including present scenario and challenges of making local film. Solomon Besra, Birendra Marandi, Ronik Tirki, Sachin Hembram, Pranav Hembram, Rashmi Soren, Pankaj Hembram, Sanjana Majhi, Ajit Murmu, Maheswar Singh Sardar, Adarsh Aind, Abhishek Purty, Baidujeet Deogam were members of the team.

The Startup team, comprising  Saurabh Kujur, Yakshit Oraon, Solomon Besra, Birendra Marandi, Ankit Chanchal Murmu, Anima Khalkho, Prema Tirkey Preetam Shekhar Soren shed light on various  aspects of startup, production, business and employment opportunities can be created in rural areas.
The 4th team Yuva  and Disha  comprising  Binod Murmu, Kundan Oraon, Anjali Mardi, Manish Hembram, Yogesh Marandi, Satish Hansda put up presentation on youth’s thinking, social construction and participation in mainstream, employment opportunities and work option.

Prof in-charge of BIT Cultural Society  Prof Ajay Oraon presided over the programme. The senior faculty member of the institution, Dr Ghanshyam, highly appreciated the field experience shared by students’ teams.
Shiv Munda, Philp, Shivram, Mayank, Sunil, Mable Subha, Babu Rai,Simoti, Sangeeta, Phuleshwar Sumitra, Sulekha, Dhanu Hansda, Lovely Raj Oraon of different batches were members of the organizing committee.
