Dhanbad, May 8: Despite the prohibitory orders clamped by the district administration at the main gate of  Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited (HURL) Sindri plant, Dhanbad BJP MP PN Singh participated in a dharna organized by Bhartiya Urvarak Shramik Sangh (BUSS) and addressed the agitators.

The Dhanbad administration had on Sunday evening clamped the prohibitory order under Section  144 of CrPC in the 500-metre radius of the HURL  plant main gate from Monday morning in the wake of two days  (May 8 and 9) dharna of BRSS for 75% jobs to local people.

BJP MP PN Singh along with Tara, the wife of  Baliapur ailing  MLA Indrajit Mahto reached the Sindri plant dharna spot at around  2.50 pm and addressed the agitators. The dharna spot was organized at around 300 metres away from the main gate of the HURL plant. However as PN Singh concluded his address, agitators also dismantled the dharna.

In the wake of prohibitory orders, Sindri police station officer-in-charge Suresh Prasad, Jharia circle officer (CO) Pramesh Kushwaha, Baliapur CO  Rampravesh Kumar along with heavy forces were deployed. The officials kept mum when asked whether any action would be taken against the MP and other BJP leaders for violating the prohibitory order.

On the occasion, PN Singh said that despite prohibitory order clamped by the district administration, a two-day dharna would continue tomorrow for 75% of jobs to locals in the HURL. He said that workers of HURL and the people of  Sindri are unhappy with the mismanagement of  HURL senior vice-president  Dipten Ray and human resources manager Vikrant Kumar.

“I will lodge complain against both of them at PMO and demand their immediate transfer from Sindri”, said PN Singh.

BJP MP  announced that agitation would continue in different phases until local youth are given 75% of jobs.

Meanwhile, All India FCI VSS Employees Association president Sardar Sewa Singh has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to kick start HURL phase-2  work in Sindri which would not only ensure jobs for locals but also ensure long life to plant.
