Chatra, May.13: Kajal Kumari who saved life of a three-year-old boy Shivam Kumar who accidentally fallen into a well has been shifted to a private hospital in Chatra town this morning. JMM district president Pankaj Prajapati met the family by visiting Husia village in Mayuhund block and he brought the girl to R.B hospital in town where she is now undergoing treatment.
Thirteen -year-old Kajal jumped into 40 feet well to save Shivam who accidentally had fallen into it. Kajal held the boy with one hand and the motor pipe with another till villagers rescued duo.
Getting injured in this process, Kajal, a Std-8th student of Utkramit Madhya Vidyalaya was referred to Sheikh Bhikhari medical college but her parents brought her back from there. Her mother Sarita Devi said there was no facility in the medical college of Hazaribag. “Even we had to look for nurses here and there at the hour of need,” she said.
Prajapati said he visited Husia village and met Kajal. The condition of Kajal made him to bring this girl to Chatra town in hisSUV, he added.
“Now I have admitted her in RB hospital where doctors said that her condition is out of danger. I will bear her all medical expense to taking care of four attendants with her,” he added.
Civil surgeon Dr Shyam Nandan Singh said he was in touch with his Hazaribag counterpart when Kajal was admitted to the Hazaribag hospital. “We are again in touch with Chatra hospital and came to know that she is improving,” he added.
Prajapati said what Kajal did is a big example and an act of bravery. I will apprise chief minister Hemant Soren about this girl to get Kajal felicitated.
