Lohardaga: Body of minor recovered in suspicious condition, mother and stepfather in custody

Lohardaga, May 14: The dead body of a minor boy was recovered in suspicious condition on Sunday near the Hamidnagar block ground of the Kudu police station area of the district. The dead body has been identified as 13-year-old Annu Ansari alias Motu.

Annu Ansari’s stepfather is suspected of murder. On the basis of suspicion, the police have taken stepfather Hakim Ansari and his mother into custody. The police are investigating the matter.

Police had earlier received information that Annu Ansari alias Motu, the 13-year-old son of Hamidnagar resident Hakim Ansari, had committed suicide by hanging himself at his house. Although the minor hanged himself or was strangled to death with a rope, it will be known after the post-mortem report.
