Jharkhand cadre IPS officer is National Police Academy deputy director

Ranchi, May 15: The Union Home Ministry has deputed Jharkhand cadre 2008 batch IPS officer M Tamil Vanan to work as deputy director of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad for five years. A letter from the union home ministry issued on May 12 requesting the Jharkhand government to relieve him to take up his new assignment informed this.

Tamil Vanan, who is presently CID, DIG, is originally from Kudumiyanmalai village in Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu. He qualified for police service three years after the death of his father, PL Muthu Karupia, who despite being poor took proper care of his education.

He has served in many districts in Jharkhand including Ranchi, East Singhbum and others in different capacities.
