Jamshedpur, May 29: Tata Steel Foundation in collaboration with Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CA-CIB) installed solar panels across three Masti Ki Pathshala centres at Pipla, Rajnagar and Sarjamda, all located in the outskirts of Jamshedpur.
The TSF and CA-CIB collaboration also enabled a range of e-scooters to mobilise field coordinators who oversee supervising several programmes across villages.
The partnership to promote green energy comes at a juncture where the education team at Tata Steel Foundation is making efforts to become carbon resilient and tap into renewable energy sources for daily use.
The solar panels will stand to benefit several students who face power crisis especially during summers. This will also ensure learning hours are not affected and environment is not negatively impacted.
The e-scooters come as a big boost for field coordinators of the signature programme education, at TSF, who were often subjected to delays due to shortage of available transport.
Sourav Roy, Chief Executive Officer, Tata Steel Foundation said, “This is a great moment of joy as we have not only found a solution to the commute problem, but also ensured that it is environment friendly. However, safety rules come first for us all and it is important to be mindful even if one is riding an e-scooter. With this meaningful partnership, we hope to ensure that no task is delayed or inaccessible for our field staff who go beyond their normal routine to get the work done”.
Notably, TSF’s Masti Ki Pathshala programme ensures advancement in the learning abilities of the children. The academic performance of each child associated with this program is surging every passing day.
