Koderma, June 6: Under the Jhumri Tilaiya Municipal Council of Koderma, a new library building will be constructed near the block premises at a cost of about two crores. Today, the foundation stone of the library building was jointly laid by the Union Minister of State for Education who is also MP of Koderma Annapurna Devi and local MLA Neera Yadav. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aditya Ranjan and Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Rituraj were also present.
Officials said there will be seating arrangements for 300 to 400 children simultaneously in the library building. Apart from this, extensive arrangements will be made in this new library building for the preparation of competitive exams. Along with the foundation stone of the library building, the new building of the Koderma block office and the Special Branch of JSLPS were also inaugurated today. Annapurna Devi and MLA Neera Yadav visited both buildings and inquired about the facilities to be restored there.
At present, the library is being operated in the Kaushal Vikas Bhawan of Jhumri Tilaiya Municipal Council, where at present only 30 to 40 children can study together. The new library building will be equipped with Wi-Fi facilities and an online education facility will also be available here. After the foundation stone laying ceremony, Minister Annapurna Devi said that at present the library is being operated with the efforts of the district administration. But the youth here will be greatly benefited by the construction of this new building.
On this occasion, district programme manager Xavier Ekka, block development officer Reshma Dungdung, block program manager Shikha and all the employees of JSLPS of Koderma Sadar were present.
