Jamshedpur, June 7: Tata Main Hospital, a private tertiary care hospital run by Tata Steel has been awarded first prize in the “Swachh Hospital” category in Jamshedpur for the year 2022.

The award was given by Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) through a competitive survey under “Swachh Survekshan” conducted annually under the Swachh Bharat Mission of the Government of India.

The survey covered all other hospitals in the district.

The certificate was given by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of East Singhbhum  Vijaya Jadhav to TMH authorities during the closing ceremony of the RRR conclave at Gopal Maidan on Tuesday.

TMH has received the award for the last three years in a row.

TMH is a 983-bedded, tertiary care hospital equipped with modern facilities. There are two super clinics (Sakchi and Baridih) and four clinics (South Park, Kadma, Sonari and Sidhgora) located across Jamshedpur that form the peripheral centres and provide primary-level healthcare.

With its diverse super-specialities and speciality services, not only patients from in and around Jamshedpur, but thousands of patients from neighbouring states come to the hospital for treatment for various ailments.

The hospital has over 2,600 trained personnel including over 350 doctors, 700 nurses and 150 paramedics, technicians and pharmacists.

Managing nearly 16 lakh OPD patients and over 60,000 admissions annually, TMH is one of the biggest and busiest hospitals in this part of the country.
