Ranchi, June 15: Presenting himself as an example Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan today asked the probationary officers selected by the first limited competitive examination organized by the Jharkhand Police Service Commission to visit fields to offer better service to people.

He was interacting with them at the Raj Bhavan today. His principal secretary Dr. Nitin Kulkarni, Sri Krishna Institute of Public Administration (SKIPA) director Mukesh Kumar and other SKIPA officers were present on the occasion.

“People have high expectations from you. You have to go to the area and be aware of the real and ground reality. With this method of yours, people will be able to get their due benefits,” the governor said.

He informed the probationary officers that he visited 16 districts by road in a short span and also explained how his visit helped bring change in the life of common people.

“The ground reality is known by visiting by road. Along with this, it is also known in the context of the reality of the implementation of various schemes of the Central Government and the State Government. There, in order to communicate with the people, being aware of their problems, action can be taken to remove them through the district administration and the state government,” he said.

“In the past days, during the tour of Latehar, Palamu and Garhwa districts, after meeting PVTG, an initiative was taken to resolve their problems after meeting them. To solve the water problem in Palamu district, a meeting was held with the officials of the Irrigation Department there and instructions were also given to take initiative towards completing the pending projects,” he added.

He further said: “The problems of the area cannot be solved sitting at home. By tomorrow the appointment of trainee officers will be done in the regional offices. It is hoped that after the appointment, you will work in the direction of removing the problems after knowing well about your areas and the problems there.”

Earlier, the governor expressed his concern over the delay in justice and shared his initiative for prompt justice.

“You people have come from different services.  You had to wait for a long time for your result. I can understand your pain. We should try to do any work within the given time limit. During the meeting with the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court yesterday, discussions were also held on early disposal of pending cases in the court,” the governor said.

On the said occasion, probationary officers Jayant Kumar Tiwari, Laxman Yadav, Balkishore Nath Shahdeo, Vijay Laxmi Sinku and other probationary officers expressed their experiences gained during the training period.
