Ranchi, June 17: BJP legislature party chief and former Jharkhand chief minister Babulal Marandi asked the National Human Rights Commission to probe the incident in which the police beat an innocent person at the Argora police station in the Jharkhand capital.
He has raised the demand through a tweet this afternoon.
His tweet came two days after a medical representative Vinod Sinha was beaten black and blue at the Argora police station by the police. The incident took place when Sinha reached the police station and alleged police of having their connivance with criminals. He had reached there after people had caught a mobile thief and handed him over to the police station for proper action.
According to Sinha, the police had switched off the light before beating him black and blue. He said that after he started bleeding, the cops washed blood on the floor with the help of phenyl and then he disappeared from the thana.
The SP (city) has already begun a probe into the matter.
