Gurugram, June 21: Following Wednesday morning’s heavy rain, several areas of Gurugram experienced waterlogging. At six in the morning, the rain began to pelt the metropolis.
Following the rains, the expressway was particularly clogged by water, resulting in a 5-kilometer-long traffic jam. Massive delays and the disruption of public transport greatly aggravated people. For more than an hour, a bus full of passengers had no choice but to wait in the flooded circumstances.
In the early hours of this morning, the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC) of Delhi issued a thunderstorm warning for several of Delhi’s surrounding areas, including Gurugram, with light to moderate rain and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph.
The RWFC does weather predictions for the Delhi NCR region and North-West India. From the early morning until later hours, they tweeted about rain forecasts for Gurugram.
“21/06/2023: 08:05 IST; Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of Delhi ( Palam, IGI Airport), NCR ( Gurugram, Manesar) Farukhnagar, Sohana, Nuh (Haryana) Moradabad, Sambhal, Billari, Chandausi, Jahangirabad, Anupshahar, Bahajoi..,” tweeted RWFC.

This morning, like it has been for the past few days, various amounts of rain fell in other areas of the Delhi NCR region also.
As the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had forecasted cloudy skies with drizzle and light rain in Delhi on Monday, June 19, the Delhi NCR experienced light rain.
The Southwest Monsoon has recently begun across India, according to the IMD. According to their most recent assessment, there are suitable circumstances for the Southwest Monsoon to continue moving across portions of south peninsular India, parts of Odisha, additional parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh over the coming days.
“The Southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Westcentral & Northwest Bay of Bengal; some parts of Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand some more parts of Bihar and remaining parts of Sub- Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim,” IMD said on June 19.
