Jamshedpur, June 21: Bullet-riddled body of a 35-year-old man was found lying under the Seraikela thana area in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district about 30 km away from here on Wednesday morning.
The body which is yet to be identified was found at Jhapadguda tola in Tentoposi village under the Seraikela thana area.
The Seraikela thana OC, Nitish Kumar said that the murder took place after the victim was shot once.
“The murder took place where the body was found, but there is no clue to the assailant, ” said Kumar while talking to lagatar24.com.
The OC said they had kept the body at the spot for over two hours, but as no one could identify it, they shifted the body to the Seraikela Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
“We can detect the case only after the body is identified. Moreover, as the murder took place in a field away from the residential area, there is no scope of getting any clue from the CCTV footage, ” the OC pointed out.
The murder victim seemed to be from a humble family, but there was no such document with him that could have got the body identified.
A large number of people including industrial workers had gathered around the body to know about the bullet-riddled body.
