Leopard attack survivor of Palamu on road to recovery

Daltonganj, June 22: The leopard attack survivor Triloki Singh, 21, is on the road to recovery. He has a couple of stitches on both of his palms which were clawed by the leopard. His neck and throat are safe and unhurt which a leopard tears apart faster.

The medical officer in -charge of the Barwadeeh community health centre, Dr Ashish Ranjan, said the survivor reached our health centre during the OPD hour on June 21 with palms injured. He was given an anti-rabies injection further asking him to come three times more on the specified dates for the remaining three anti-rabies injections.

Prior to his coming over to the community health centre at Barwadeeh the leopard survivor was treated at the primary health centre at Chhipadohar.

The ANM at the primary health centre Chhipadohar, Kanak Chouranth, said the survivor was given an anti-tetanus injection and antibiotics. The wounds in both his palms were washed and bandaged.

Triloki Singh had an encounter with a leopard in Harhey jungle under the Laat panchayat where he had taken his buffalo to a water body and there this leopard lying in ambush attacked Triloki Singh. Triloki fought to live on and he won when the leopard left him scurrying towards the jungle.

Chief conservator of forest and field director of the Palamu Tiger Reserve (PTR) Kumar Ashutosh said we would meet his medical expenses.
