Ranchi, June 25: Al Qaeda terrorist Abdul Sami has been shifted from Delhi’s Tihar Jail to Jamshedpur Jail. On the other hand, the Jamshedpur Civil Court has ordered the Delhi Police to present Abdul Rehman Katki, an associate of Abdul Sami, in the Jamshedpur Court on a production warrant. Four including Abdul Rehman were sentenced to seven years of rigorous imprisonment by the Delhi Patiala Court.
It is worth noting that Abdul Sami, a resident of Dhatkidih, Bishtupur police station area of Jamshedpur, a terrorist of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), a branch of Al-Qaeda, was produced by the Delhi Police in the Jamshedpur Civil Court on Saturday. After the paperwork, the court ordered him to be sent to Ghaghidih Central Jail in Jamshedpur. Notably, on January 18, 2016, Delhi’s Special Cell had arrested Abdul Sami, a resident of Bishtupur Dhatkidih from Mewat in Haryana.
FIR was registered against Abdul Sami, Abdul Rehman Katki, Maulana Kalimuddin, Abdul Masood and Naseem at Bishtupur police station in Jamshedpur on 25 January 2016 for joining the terrorist organization Al Qaeda, expanding the organization, inciting youth for Jihad and sedition. Now Jharkhand ATS is looking into this matter.
