Hazipur, June 25: A major accident took place in the industrial area of Hajipur. A tanker exploded after a leakage of ammonia gas at Raj Refresh Dairy Factory here late on Saturday night. There was chaos in the factory after the incident. Dinanath Singh (50 years), a labourer from Maner, died in this accident. While more than 35 people fell ill. All have been admitted to the hospital.
After getting the information about the tanker explosion, DM-SP and other officials reached the spot. The gas leak was stopped by campaigning under the leadership of the SDRF team. The fire brigade team is sprinkling water in the leakage-affected areas. As a precaution, QRT has also been called from Patna.
The state government has also ordered an inquiry into the ammonia gas leak case. The eyes of the government are fixed on every moment’s news. The special investigation team from Patna has left for Hajipur. Which will investigate this whole matter and find out the reasons for the gas leak.
