Deoghar, June 25: Water conservationist and environmentalist Rajendra Singh is scheduled to visit Jharkhand. He will be here for three days. Commencing on 26th June the Water Man will visit Deoghar, Ranchi and Godda.
As per information, a Pani Panchayat will be held under his presidency. The programme of Pani Panchayat is being organized under the banner of Santhal Pargana Chamber of Commerce at Shilpa Gramme Auditorium near Nandan Pahad.
Talking to Lagatar24.com, the president of Santal Pargana Chamber of Commerce Alok Mallik has confirmed his visit to Deoghar. He said that Singh will reach Deoghar by train in the morning on 26th June. After refreshment at the circuit house, he will go to Baba Baidyanath Dham Temple to offer the JaIarpan. After offering the worship in the temple he will visit the surrounding area of the Temple to take account of the water body near Temple.
After that, he will attend the main event at an open session. The Pani Panchayat programme will start at 10 am in Shilpa Gram Auditorium where a one-to-one talk over the water crisis in the Deoghar will take place. Representatives of the Panchayat body, social organizations and other stakeholders are expected to attend the open session. The open session will be held for three hours till 1 pm. It is expected to get a suggestion from Water Man Rajendra Singh over the problem of water in Deoghar.
Before departing to Ranchi, Rajendra Singh will visit Punasi Dam and other local places in town.
Notably, after attending the open session in Deoghar Rajendra Singh will meet the CM Hemant Soren in Ranchi and he is expected to discuss the issue of Deoghar with him.
