Jamshedpur, July 20: In a significant effort to cater to the needs of the community residing in Jagannathpur Basti, IIM Ranchi has taken another stride by inaugurating the second “Community Library” in collaboration with the NGO Pratigya today.
This initiative reflects IIM Ranchi’s unwavering commitment to fostering knowledge, education and community development.
The community library, established through the joint efforts of IIM Ranchi and Pratigya, aims to provide a valuable resource centre for the residents of the Jagannathpur slum.
By offering access to a diverse collection of books and learning materials, this initiative seeks to empower the community through knowledge and intellectual growth.
IIM Ranchi has consistently demonstrated its dedication to engaging with society and uplifting underprivileged communities.
The collaboration with NGO Pratigya further exemplifies their collective efforts in creating a positive impact on the lives of the residents of the Jagannathpur slum.
Pratigya is a Jharkhand-based social enterprise driving grassroots initiatives and community programmes in urban and rural areas of Jharkhand on issues of education, child protection and development.
The inauguration of the second community library took place today in the presence of Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, director of IIM Ranchi and other senior officials.
Through this noble endeavour, IIM Ranchi and Pratigya aim to foster a culture of learning and knowledge-sharing, empowering the community to seize new opportunities and embrace a brighter future.
