Ranchi, July 22: Former Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das today restrained chief minister Hemant Soren from doing politics on the Manipur issue and suggested paying attention to the crime against women in Jharkhand.

His statement came through a tweet a few minutes after Soren informed about his letter seeking intervention of President Droupadi Murmu on the Manipur issue.

“Hemant ji has written a letter to the President on the incident in Manipur. But, when Rubika Pahadin was cut into pieces by Dildar in Jharkhand; Ankita was burnt alive by Shahrukh; a tribal girl was raped and hanged from a tree in Dumka; a tribal girl was abducted from her home and raped in Sahibganj; a Sadhvi was raped in an ashram in Gumla and a minor was raped in Ranchi, why he remained silent. If there is so much suffering due to the incident in Manipur, then at least he should have mentioned the incident of Malda in West Bengal and Begusarai in Bihar in his letter. Does Hemant ji support these incidents? Why don’t you hear the cries of the daughters of Jharkhand? Have some shame before doing politics on such a serious issue,” Das tweeted.

Another former chief minister Babulal Marandi, who is now BJP state president and BJP legislature party chief, supported Das. He through his tweet dared chief minister Soren to give some statement on the issue of women atrocities in Jharkhand.

“Very nice, Chief Minister. Show some more courage. Now open the bundle of your sins as well. Will you write a letter to the central government to get the CBI probe into the loot that took place in Jharkhand under your supervision? Infiltrators have encroached Santhal Pargana, will the central government be asked to investigate in this regard? Jharkhand has become the safest place for radical elements, will you write a letter to the central investigative agencies asking them to investigate? Will the NRC support the existence of tribal society? A woman has been brutalized in Bengal too, will you open your mouth on her? Today the woman of your party has called the people of your party as having “demonic tendencies”, perhaps this is also the eternal truth. Now your drama will not work in Jharkhand. “Meetha Meetha Gup Gup, Kadwa Kadwa Thu Thu” will not work,” he tweeted.
