Daltonganj, July 24: Pick pocketing in political meeting!
It happened on Sunday here in Daltonganj based Pdt Deendayal Upadhya Smriti Bhavan where the AJSU party had a huge political meet presided over by its chief Sudesh Mahto.
Here a senior journalist Shivendra Kumar of a popular Hindi newspaper was picked of his 1,600 rupees.
Speaking to this correspondent today, he said “I was right inside the hall of the Pdt Deendayal Upadhya Smriti Bhavan where Sudesh Mahto was in chair when my 1,600 rupees was picked. I just could not believe it.”
Shivendra Kumar said “It’s my luck that my cell phone remained intact. The cash was in the pocket of my pant. I had no clue as to how my cash was so picked and I just couldn’t sense this pick pocketing.”
The state secretary of the AJSU and Incharge Garhwa district Satish Kumar who lives in Daltonganj said, “Pick pocketers made a kind of money mayhem on Sunday AJSU conclave here in Daltonganj. My Parwa block AJSU functionary was picked of 19,000 rupees. A couple of party men coming from Latehar also were picked of few thousands of rupees.”
Satish Kumar said, “I am also bewildered. It is true pick pockets were there in the hall. They just picked the pockets of the journalist and the party workers. It’s really sad.”
Chief state spokesperson for AJSU Dr Devsharan Bhagat when told about this incident said “There have been instances of pick pocketing here too in Morabadi where pick pocketers commit such misdoings. I will speak to our AJSU people here in Daltonganj in this connection.”
