Preparation for Jharkhand tribal festival in final stage

Ranchi, Aug.7: Preparations for the Jharkhand Tribal Festival 2023 to be held on August 9-10 are in the final stage. In the festival, guests from tribal communities of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Rajasthan will be exposed to their traditions and culture.

People will witness the reverberation of 32 tribal instruments in the land where walking is dance and speaking is song.  This will be possible in the “Reej Rang Rasika” rally when people in traditional costumes will dance to the beat of Mandar and the confluence of musical instruments will start the Jharkhand Tribal Festival. The rally will be the centre of main attraction in Jharkhand Tribal Festival-2023.

On August 09, at 12 noon, the rally will leave from Dhumkudia Bhawan, Karamtoli Chowk for Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan on Jail Road. There will be a confluence of 32 different tribal musical instruments of Jharkhand in the rally.

In the rally Asur, Baiga, Banjara, Bathudi, Bediya, Binjhiya, Birhor, Birjia, Chero, Chik-Badaik, Gond, Godail, Ho, Karmali, Khadiya, Kanwar, Kharwar, Khond, Kisan, Kora, Korva, Lohra, Mahali, Mal Paharia, Munda, Oraon, Parhaiya, Santhal, Sauria Paharia, Savar, Bhumij and Kol tribes will be seen with their musical instruments.

Under the cultural programme, Nagpuri, Seraikela Chhau, Domkach, Paika and other dances will be presented by the artists.
